Your staff

We're delighted to introduce Eli and Martin who will be looking after you during your stay at chalet Pleroma this winter. Eli comes from Spain and has worked as a chef in her parents restaurant in Barcelona, while Martin, who also shares a passion for great food, is from Sussex. They've recently returned from their travels around the globe and we're sure will be a big hit in La Tania this winter.

The BIG interview....

Q: What have you been up to for the last 12 months?

E & M: We've been travelling the world togeather visiting 20 countries in total. In South America we went to: Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Ecuador including the Galapagos Islands, Colombia, Peru and Bolivia. In April we flew to New Zealand for a month, then Australia for 2 months. And from July to October we have been in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Lao, Vietnam, China and finally Japan.

Q: Favourite experience?

E & M: We have so many good experiences that is difficult to just choose one, however we both really enjoyed Argentina, specially the Patagonia area where we climbed glaciers and sailed around icebergs!

Q: Describe your perfect day?

E & M: ...would be.... a day trekking in the Lao jungle, ending up by the Mekong river having a drink and watching the sunset... or a day diving in the Galapagos Islands, swimming with sea lions and Iguanas in the crystal clear waters... and relax with summer cocktails and some friends and the end of the day... or... well we had so many perfect days that I could be writing forever!!!

Q: What's your favourite food?

E & M: Favourite food... undoubtedly it has to be mediterranean food, from Spanish to Greek, the mixture and combination of flavours is probably what we love the most, although we loved sushi too. Anything fresh and well cooked will be a good choice.

Q: Skier or snowboarder?

M: I've been skiing since I was 10 and started snowboarding 5 years ago, so now I switch between the two.
E: I started skiing 5 years ago, not convinced with the size of the skis so changed to board... still not convinced with my bum on the floor most of the time... switched to blades and now loving it!

Q: Mountains or beach?

E & M: Mountain in Winter and Spring, beach in summer, definitely.

Q: Preferred sports/pastimes?

E: We both love trekking, swimming and skiing. I also do Taichi and Yoga.
M: I'm also into diving and cycling.

Q: If you could be anyone right now, who would it be?

M: That's a tough one, I'd choose a National Geographic camera man, picturing myself documenting about some tribe village in Africa...
E: If I could be anyone right now a would be an Inuit in Alaska, I would love to go to the Arctic and experience the way of living up there, outside all the pollution, lights, traffic etc, just me and nature.

Q: Favourite film?

M: Grease & Grease II... they have me on the edge of my seat.
E: Anything with some action, lots of guns!

Q: What are your plans for next summer?

E & M: One thing we have learned throughout the traveling is that everybody wants to learn English, and there is a big demand of English Teachers out there, so we will probably head to one of our favourite countries,Japan, and try to get a job as English teachers.

Q: Favourite quote?

E: 'Good judgment comes from experience, and often experience comes from bad judgment' Rita Mae Brown
M: ' To live anywhere in the world today and be against equality because of race or color is like living in Alaska and being against snow'. William Faulkner
